SYMPTOMS
Trying to program this bypass module to the vehicle. It simply will not program

CAUSE
Dodge Durangos built before May 17th, 2004 had defective Wireless Control Modules that would not allow any additional RFID (Radio Frequency I.D.) codes to be programmed to the vehicle. This includes new ignition keys and also prevents an immobilizer bypass module to programmed as well. Chrysler is aware of this problem but is only replacing the Wireless Control Module if the owner is trying to have a new key programmed. They did not recall these vehicles as the Wireless Control Module does not affect any other functions of the vehicle.

RESOLUTION
Whether trying to program a new key or an immobilizer bybass the vehicle will have to go to the dealer to have the Wireless Control Module replaced. The part number for the Wireless Control Module is 56038675AS
